Mechele Pitt, BS, MSSW, LCSW, LICSW, Minnesota Director of Programs at Anu Family Services, has been working in the child welfare field since 1992. Mechele joined Anu Family Services in 2006 and most recently served as Director of Outreach at Anu. Mechele has her Masters in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor’s degree in the area of Human Development and Family Living from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Mechele is currently and adjunct faculty member at the University of Madison School of Social Work and was an adjunct faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Stout from 1999 to 2012.Mechele has taught graduate and undergraduate level courses in the area of child development, individual and family counseling, cultural diversity, work and family issues and child and adolescent counseling. Mechele was a supervisor at Eau Claire County from 1999-2006. Mechele also has several years of experience working with youth in residential treatment and clinical experience doing in-home family therapy, as well as individual and group counseling with adolescents. Mechele provides training and consultation in the areas of strength based supervision practices, permanence driven practice, promoting well-being in the workplace and grief, loss and trauma.
