Anita joined WLCFS in 2012. She received her BA in Elementary Education from Concordia University, Chicago and her MS in Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Anita has much experience working with pre-school, elementary, adolescents, and college students. Prior to joining WLCFS, Anita was a therapist in the Mankato/New Ulm area for six years serving children, women, and couples with Christian counseling and in the education field for over 20 years. She has served on the Minnesota State Advisory Board for Permanency in Adoption since 2014. She has a passion for working with families and helping people. She specializes in work with children, play therapy, families, marriage, attachment, trauma focus treatment, and adoption related issues. In addition to her clinical work, Anita also teaches Marriage and Family as an adjunct instructor at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota.
