Rob is a 15 year veteran of the Non-Profit Human Services Community with a background in program development and leadership spanning areas of mental health, child welfare and family services. He received his Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Minnesota where he was a Child Welfare Scholar and Minnesota DHS Fellow. Rob received a Post-Graduate Permanency and Adoption Competency Certificate (PACC) from the University of Minnesota and is a member of the board of directors of the National Association of Social Workers Minnesota Chapter (NASW-MN) currently serving as Treasurer. In 2012, Rob was awarded the Early Career Excellence Award from NASW-MN. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Council of Child Caring Agencies (MCCCA). Rob has presented and trained across the state, nationally and internationally on topics ranging from program leadership, supervision, accreditation and program innovation and has recently served as a committee member on the Minnesota Foster Care Workgroup. Rob believes that systems and relationships begin to heal and transform when we acknowledge past trauma, develop narrative and empower action. As helping professionals we have an opportunity to build trajectory toward autonomy, self-awareness, self-determination and greater well-being in ourselves, our colleagues and our consumers.
