Briana Colton, MA, LPCC, ATR
Registered Art Therapist and Permanency & Adoption Competency-Certified.
I have two primary areas of focus: I provide individual and family therapy to adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing relational challenges, trauma, low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. I also provide family therapy to foster and adoptive parents who are new to their roles or experiencing new challenges related to their foster/adoptive identities.
In all capacities, I focus on psychoeducation as well as introspection and self-reflection, utilize art therapy interventions, and incorporate other trauma-informed lenses focused on somatic and sensorimotor experiences to build mindfulness, grounding techniques, and coping strategies. I'm a strengths-based and self-awareness-focused clinician. I also have experience with 12-step recovery and understanding addiction patterns in families.
