She/Her/Hers

Jennifer is a graduate of the Moorhead State University Social Work program. She spent the first two years of her professional career in child protection for the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitative Services before accepting a position in Douglas County where she has been ever since.

Jennifer had over 25 years of experience in child welfare and foster care licensing when she was called to provide kinship care. At that time, Jennifer was a trainer for the CWTS, teaching the Foster Parent College curriculum across the state. She quickly realized that there was so much more to learn.

Jennifer and her supportive husband went on to adopt and have since provided care for an additional 13 foster children. Doing the hard work that foster, adoption and kinship care has demanded has given her a wide variety of experiences to draw on as she recruits, supports, and educates foster and adoptive families. Her motto is, “If not us, who?”

Jennifer loves to learn and is a fan of anything related to TBRI.
