Nicole is a licensed psychotherapist and clinical supervisor at Mental Health Systems (MHS) in Roseville, MN. At MHS, she facilitates Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) groups and provides mindfulness-based individual therapy to adolescents (16+) and adults. Nicole has clinical, research and training, community development, and lived experience in transracial/transnational adoption, birth family search/reunion, suicide/prevention, mindfulness, trauma, identity development, and life transitions. Nicole lived in South Korea from 2002-2010 and served as the vice secretary general of Global Oversea Adoptees' Link (GOA'L), a non-profit and non-governmental organization founded by and for Korean adoptees in 1998. In her role at GOA'L she was the annual summer conference director, led a mentor/mentee program, and oversaw the internship program helping many adoptees in their journeys to return to Korea to explore their roots.
