Jessica Fanberg
Jessica has been working with children with mental health issues for the past ten years. She has worked in a variety of settings including residential treatment, day treatments, in-home therapy, school based therapy and outpatient. Through these experiences she has a gained a better knowledge of the continuum of care and has worked with many children who have been adopted or have been in foster care. She is currently providing outpatient therapy to children and families at the Coon Rapids location of Nystrom and Associates, working with youth ages 4-18. Jessica uses play and create interventions, along with a playful spirit to connect with youth and help them process their journeys of adoption. She tends to focus on attachment, family relationships and the child’s narrative to help children and families heal and grow. Her areas of expertise are with anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD and PTSD. She not only has professional experience in adoption, but personal as well.
