I founded my practice with a passion to provide the best possible services to individuals and families who have been touched by adoption in some way. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, which means I value the role that relationships play in mental health functioning and healing. I include family work as a routine part of the therapy process. As an adoptive parent, I am sensitive to the unique needs that adoption presents. I work from an attachment perspective, meaning that healing can often be found through enhancing relationships and security. I have a special affinity for trans-racial, trans-cultural adoption and the challenges that come with it. Many of my clients have adopted or been adopted trans-racially and I love working from the lens of cultural identity. I am also a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), so provide all types of play and expressive arts for clients who may be young or who may find typical talk therapy difficult and intimidating.
